Celebrating a Decade of Excellence: EWIS Empowers the Future of Hambantota Through Art and Innovation
In every brushstroke, each spark of creativity, and every innovative endeavor, lies the potential to shape the future. On October 21st, the Hambantota Education Zonal Office organized an art competition at St. Mary’s College, and we took great pride in being the primary sponsor of this inspiring event.
Empowering Through Art:
This competition aimed to nurture the artistic skills of school children from Grade 1 to 13 in the Hambantota district. It provided a platform for these young talents to express themselves, turning the canvas into a testament to their creativity and potential. Many school children, bursting with artistic passion, participated in this event, making it a resounding success.
EWIS: Supporting the Future:
As we approach November, we are gearing up to commemorate the 10th anniversary of our EWIS Original Device Manufacturing (ODM) factory in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota. Over the past decade, our presence in Hambantota has not only been marked by excellence in providing cutting-edge IT devices and solutions but has also played a transformative role in the lives of the local community. The impact of our factory on the community of Hambantota has been profound. It’s more than just a factory; it’s a catalyst for change, enhancing the quality of life in the region. Over the years, the EWIS Original Device Manufacturing (ODM) factory has spurred economic growth and employment opportunities, contributing significantly to the development of Hambantota.
The enthusiasm and dedication of the young employees from the Sooriyawewa have been instrumental in our 10 years of successful journey. These individuals have not only found meaningful employment but have also become agents of change within their own community. They have been the driving force behind the positive transformation we’ve witnessed in Hambantota.
Education, Innovation, and Empowerment:
At EWIS, we recognize the power of technology and the importance of empowering the younger generation. We are committed to fostering creativity and knowledge, and this art competition is just one example of our dedication to these ideals.
Marking Sri Lanka’s Footprint:
We’ve ventured into uncharted territories as a pioneer in the IT industry, setting up Sri Lanka’s first and only world-standard Original Device Manufacturing (ODM) factory in Sooriyawewa, Hambantota. This not only contributes to the local economy but also positions Sri Lanka on the global technology map.
A Brighter Tomorrow:
As we look back on the success of the art competition and ahead to our 10th-anniversary celebration, we are filled with hope and enthusiasm. The synergy between art, innovation, and education is a powerful force for positive change, and we are proud to be a part of it.
This is not just our journey; it’s a collective endeavor to build a brighter and more creative tomorrow. At EWIS, we remain committed to our mission of empowering education, fostering creativity, and advancing technology, all for the betterment of Hambantota and Sri Lanka as a whole.
